Saas-Fee is famous for its snowy terrain, stretching from the village at 1,800 meters up to an impressive 3,500 meters at the Allalin Glacier. This means you can ski all year round on some of the highest and most spectacular slopes in the world.

Saas-Fee offers varied terrain suitable for all types of skiers:

• Blue slopes (25% of the area): Perfect for beginners and intermediate skiers, with plenty of room to learn and improve technique.

With a village located at 1,800 meters and slopes reaching up to 3,500 meters, Saas-Fee boasts excellent snow safety. Around 50% of the ski area is snow-sure, making it an ideal place for the start and end of the ski season, as well as for summer skiing on the glacier.

Saas-Fee is also popular with snowboarders and freestylers thanks to its impressive fun park. The park has various jumps, boxes and rails that attract beginners and professionals alike. In the summer there is also a fun park on the glacier, which is mainly used by professional snowboarders and skiers for training.

Freeride options

Although the freeride area in Saas-Fee is limited due to the dangerous crevasses of the glacier, there are still around 20 kilometers of safe freeride opportunities. However, it is always recommended to have a guide if you plan to explore these off-piste routes.

How do I get to Saas-Fee?

Saas-Fee is located in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais, in a valley right next to Zermatt. Although there is no direct train connection to Saas-Fee, it’s easy to get there by car or by post bus from Visp. From Visp you can take a direct bus that will take you up to the car-free village.

Transportation options

• Car: You can drive to Saas-Fee, but as the town is car-free, park outside the village and take a shuttle in.
• Public transportation: From Visp, take a bus that goes up the valley and directly to Saas-Fee.
