Björnrike: Family area

Vemdalsskalet: Full speed ahead

Vemdalsskalet, with 21 slopes and 12 lifts, is a vibrant and lively area. It has an attractive square full of activity, fantastic ski area with two mountain peaks and fine restaurants offering delicious food for when you need a break from the slopes.

Klövsjö/Storhogna: Challenge and adventure

Klövsjö/Storhogna, which has 21 slopes and 14 lifts, offers countless opportunities for children and challenging black runs for more experienced skiers.

Cross-country skiing in Vemdalen

Vemdalen has 50 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, including 7.5 km with lighting. The various trails are connected and spread across the three areas, with trails varying from 2 to 10 km in length.
Activities in Vemdalen

In addition to skiing, Vemdalen has a wealth of other activities. The area has around 15 restaurants and cafés, 6 bars and nightclubs, and several shops. You can also try activities such as snowmobiling, tobogganing and dog sledding.

Valle’s ski school in Vemdalen

Valle’s Ski School in Vemdalen is the ideal place for children aged 3-9 to learn to ski in a fun and safe way. At Valle’s ski school, children are divided into different smaller groups and together with their experienced instructors, they go on adventures in the ski area.

Snow Parks in Vemdalen

Overview of SkiStar Snow Parks in Vemdalen. Here we’ll take a look at the opportunities in Vemdalen for jumps, rails and boxes to suit all ages and levels.

BJÖRNRIKE: SkiStar Snow Park

Björnrike, located in Gråhognabacken (piste no. 2 and lift B), is without a doubt one of the most popular parks in Vemdalen. The Snow Park has a green route for beginners and a red/black route for more experienced freestylers. In addition to skiing, you can watch from the grandstand with the barbecue area as the ideal gathering point.

Every year the park hosts two big events: The DayLight around Christmas time, with invited freestylers, and the Big Jump Session on Easter Saturday, which is open to everyone.

Easy access with the ski bus Snöpendeln

If you live in another of the 3 areas, the Snöpendeln ski bus makes it easy to get to SkiStar Snow Park in Björnrike. Simply get off at Björnidet, take the Hotellliften, change to the Gråhognalift and you’re in the park.

Björnvallen: A smaller but fun park

Down in Björnvallen (piste no. 14 and lift G) you’ll find a smaller SkiStar Snow Park with an easier green course that includes both jumps and rails. During the high season, a Freeride Session is held in the mini park.

VEMDALSSKALET: Snow park

In Vemdalsskalet you’ll find a smaller but very nice SkiStar Snow Park at Tunnelbacken (piste no. 3 and lift C). Here you’ll find rails and boxes as well as a couple of mini jumps. In high season they also organize Freeride Sessions here.

SKISTAR FUN RIDES

In addition to the SkiStar Snow Parks, there are also SkiStar Fun Rides in Vemdalsskalet and Klövsjö. In Björnrike there is also a long SkiCross course that offers a fun skiing experience.

The trip to Vemdalen from Copenhagen will take around 10-12 hours by car.
