Auron is a ski town in France that is super cozy and has something for everyone on the mountain, whether you’re new or experienced. The area is one of the southernmost places in France and therefore has many sunny days.
The area is located at an altitude of 1600-2450 meters, where there are over 140 km of slopes. Many green and red slopes. The area has 28 lifts to pull you around the area.
It’s easy to fly to Nice and then rent a car or take the bus to Auron, which takes around 1.5 hours.

Is Auron a good ski area?
It's a surprisingly good ski area that is underrated and not very well visited by Danes. There is a good variety of terrain, but mostly blue runs - which are particularly suited to new skiers or snowboarders. It's a lot cheaper than the more well-known areas such as Val Thorens, Alpe d'Huez, Paradiski or Tignes.
How long is the ski season in Auron?
The ski season in Auron starts in early/mid December and runs until mid/late December.
