Poland’s largest ski area is Zakopane. This is where most Danes go. If you’re an experienced skier, you’ll probably get bored quickly. Most of the slopes are blue and therefore the area is also very family friendly. The highest point of the ski area is at 2000 meters, while the lowest point is at 1200 meters. The city itself is located in the 900 meters of altitude.

The lift pass costs ¼ of what it costs in Italy or Austria, for example. You can get a week’s lift pass for around 500 kr for an adult.
The city is lively, with good restaurants, shops, bars, discos and fine hotels. This means you can easily find a place to buy some beers or find some good food in the city if the hotel doesn’t live up to expectations.

Zakopane has the longest ski season in Poland, stretching from early December to late April. It can be postponed if the weather is not suitable to start so early.
Is Zakopane worth going to if you're a good skier?
