Discover 400km of slopes in Via Lattea

Sauze d’Oulx is located in the northern part of the Via Lattea, a huge ski region known for its excellent and extensive terrain, especially appealing to intermediate skiers who have little difficulty on the red slopes. The ski area, which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, offers over 400 km of interconnected slopes.

The town is cobbled and has a car-free zone to match the traditional buildings of the region. From here, larger hotels and chalets spread out across the mountainside. Therefore, it’s worth considering the location if walking in ski boots to the lifts in the morning is not your cup of tea. In the evening, the center becomes lively, with après-ski bars filling up quickly and remaining full into the early evening hours.

Snow every day: With the help of snow guns

There’s no need to fear about snow conditions. Concerns about snow safety have diminished in recent years thanks to extensive investment in snow cannons. Today, 60% of the slopes are equipped with snow guns and there is ongoing investment in new and expanding facilities to make the area even better.

There are of course areas made for children, these areas are located at the bottom of the central slopes, and this is also where you’ll find the slightly shorter blue slopes, which are the next level from the ski school.
