Kronplatz Ski Resort, also known as Plan de Corones, is located in the northern Dolomites and boasts an altitude difference of 1,325 meters, providing plenty of ski terrain for skiers and snowboarders alike. The ski resort is located close to the charming town of Brunico (Brunico) and has its own train station, Perca/Percha, which is directly next to a gondola station – a unique advantage for easy access.
Kronplatz is in the heart of it all and from there you can get to the other resorts, there are 119 km of pistes, the longest piste is 7 km long and there are 31 lifts to take you around the area. There’s something for everyone in this area whether you’re a beginner or experienced skier or snowboarder. If you’re into fun parks and freestyle, head to the 2 snowparks where there are kickers, rails and boxes.
Kronplatz is slightly cheaper than the larger destinations in Italy. There’s everything in the area, making it a great place for families with older children. If you bring the older ones, there’s also cross-country skiing, with around 200 km of trails.

Kronplatz impresses with an extensive lift system and perfectly maintained slopes. The ski resort offers some of the best slopes in Italy with an interconnected network of lifts, including 23 modern gondolas that quickly transport guests around the area. This system makes Kronplatz a place where long lift queues are rare.
Connection with Dolomiti Superski
As part of the Dolomiti Superski area, Kronplatz has direct train connections to other popular ski resorts such as 3 Peaks Dolomites (Drei Zinnen) and Sillian in Austria. There’s also an easy bus connection to Alta Badia, making it possible to explore even more slopes with ease.

Kronplatz is a paradise for skiers of all levels with 120 km of slopes. There are long runs of up to 10 km that challenge beginners, intermediates and experts alike. The wide and well-groomed slopes are perfect for family vacations, while the more demanding runs provide thrills for experienced skiers. Off-piste options are limited, but after snowfall, good pillows can be found for the adventurous.
Lift pass
The ski resort offers several lift pass options, including a local Kronplatz Pass and a Dolomiti Superski Pass, which gives access to the entire Dolomiti Superski area. International visitors can also use the IKON Pass for a number of ski areas in the region.

Thanks to its geographical location, Kronplatz receives snow from both east and west, ensuring good conditions all season long. The ski resort also has one of the world’s most advanced snow production systems, guaranteeing top-to-bottom skiing all winter long.

With train stations in Brunico, Perca and Olang, Kronplatz is one of the most accessible ski resorts in the Dolomites. The train station in Perca is right next to the gondola station, so guests can walk directly from the train to the lift. Is Kronplatz a good ski area for beginners?
Kronplatz has around 48% blue slopes, i.e. 58 km of slopes. Out of 120 km, it's an area that not many tourists visit and therefore there is plenty of space on the slopes. There are many gondolas, making it a great area for beginners. For experienced skiers, there's the option to ski the 62 km of red or black slopes - or buy the large Dolomite Superpass, which gives access to 1200 km of slopes.
How long is the ski season in Kronplatz?
Kronplatz has a ski season from late November to mid/late April. The lifts open at 08:30 and the last ones close at 17:00.
