Warth Schroecken is 2 cities that have merged.
The Warth-Shröcken area offers 62.5 km of slopes, 15 lifts, almost ski in – ski out. There is a lot of off-piste in the area, Arlberger offers over 200 km of off-piste in itself. Snow is guaranteed from December to Easter. There are free ski buses in the area.
Warth has a lift that gives you access to the Lech Zurs area, and from there you can continue to St. Anton if you wish. It’s the place with a lot of après-ski.
In Warth there is also the “BMW Ski Movie Route” which is a piste where you can be filmed while skiing, there is plenty of freeride available. There’s also the Fun Slope Steffisalp which is a course of sorts with several challenges.
If you want to hire a ski instructor or attend a ski school, there are 5 of them in the Warth-Schöecken area. You can also sign up for the “Arlberg Freeride Safari” which costs 75 euros and takes you on a 6-hour freeride tour.
Ski Arlberg, is a major ski area in Austria that includes St. Anton am Arlberg, St. Christoph, Stuben, Lech – Zürs, Warth – Schröcken.
This gives 305 kilometers of pistes, the longest piste is 9 km long, 88 lifts, 200 km off-piste in good powder snow. There are several great fun parks, the most iconic is the one in St. Anton, it’s one of the best parks in Europe, there are several fun slopes and children’s area.
The entire ski area is at its lowest at 1304 meters and the highest point is at 2811 meters.
In addition, there are 40 km of cross-country ski trails, for those who like to hike there are 80 km of routes for that. To get around the area quickly, there are ski buses that are free to use.
When not on the slopes there is “Arl.rock” which is a hall with a climbing wall, in the same hall there are also tennis and squash courts, there is also “Arl.park” where there is an indoor trampoline park, there is Arlberg Escapes, 4 bowling alleys, you can try Paragliding, there are several good toboggan runs, ice skating, sleigh rides, swimming pool and wellness hotels, there is “Arlberg Wellcom” which everyone can use.

How long is the ski season in Warth-Schröcken?
Warth-Schröcken begins the ski season in early to mid-December, although not all slopes open this early. They end their season in mid-April.
What is special about Warth?
The Arlberger, under which Warth is located, is an off-piste mecca. This also means there is heliskiing. Warth is about the same size town as Zürs and much smaller than St. Anton. This means that if you want to experience the wild après-ski, you shouldn't go to Warth.
There are no roads from Warth to Lech or St. Anton. So make sure you get back to the lift in good time, otherwise you'll be in for an expensive taxi ride.
