Ski holidays in Easter
When looking to book ski holidays for Easter, look for places that are high if you're heading south, preferably glacier skiing where there is a solid snow depth.
For many, an Easter ski holiday has become their extra ski trip or those who want a ski holiday a little cheaper than weeks 6-7 and 8. In addition to a cheaper ski holiday at Easter, you will also experience fewer people on the slopes and thus shorter lift queues.
When you choose to go on an Easter ski trip in late March or mid-April depending on when Easter falls, we are also approaching warmer times, which means longer days of sun on the slopes, high sunshine and therefore warmer temperatures and you need less clothes - yes in some cases you can actually sunbathe on ski holidays. That's why it's also important to remember the sunscreen, if you need a packing list you can download ours here.
If you're single and want to go on a single ski holiday with or without your children, you can go around week 12.
There's nothing better than enjoying a great lunch in the snow-capped mountains with the sun shining brightly around you.

Ski holidays at Easter - France
Easter ski trip to France, none above all below of course Val Thorens - All the slopes in 99% of the slopes in Val Thorens are above 2000 meters altitude.
Great opportunities for other activities off the slopes, as well as Europe's highest ski town. Of course, we can't ignore Tignes / Val d'Isere, which is incredibly high and has glacier skiing, and thus super good conditions for skiing at Easter.
The good thing about Tignes and Val Thorens is that there is ski in/ski out. In France there are several good destinations Avoriaz, Alpe d'Huez, La Plagne, which are all fairly snow-sure.
Ski holidays at Easter - Switzerland
Switzerland is often overlooked as a ski country, many associate it with being an expensive place to stay, in part we can agree with them. But when compared to destinations like Hemsedal, Trysil, Val Thorens, Tignes.
So we often end up around the same prices, which is why Zermatt should of course be on the list of ski areas to visit at Easter, they have the highest slope in Europe, glacier skiing, in addition to that they actually have summer skiing, so the dopamine does not fall to the ground in the summer months and you have abstinence for skiing.
Then you can take a trip to Zermatt and try your hand at summer skiing. We’re also adding Saas Fee to the list—most of the skiing there takes place at altitudes over 2,000 meters, with glacier skiing and great conditions, and it’s open for summer skiing.
Sales and great prices at ski shops
As we're nearing the end of the season, most of the ski shops in Denmark, both online and physical, will be phasing out last year's models. For you, this means great deals on skiwear and ski gear, so instead of buying it in mid-December, buy it in time for your ski holidays this Easter. Here you will typically be able to save anywhere from 30-70% on almost everything in winter clothing - skis, snowboards, ski jackets, ski pants and all equipment for ski holidays that are ski season items.
The great thing about shopping here is that you might find the clothes you’ve been eyeing all winter but didn’t want to pay full price for—like a Peak Performance ski jacket, or a pair of Norrøna ski pants at full price—you’ll quickly spend 8,000–9,000 kr.
Here, it's a quick saving of maybe 4-5000 SEK. So instead of buying cheap skiwear in December, it might be smart to wait, if you can wait to buy. We recommend you check out Blacksnow, One Open Sky, your local ski shop - see the full list of ski shops here.
It also means that when you save on ski clothes, you can spend more on your ski holidays, whether it's a hotel upgrade or a few more beers at the après ski resort. In local ski shops at ski resorts, this also means prices are lower, and you can ask the local ski shop where you might have rented a pair of skis if you can buy them at a super sharp price. Assess whether the price is at a rental price where you feel it's worth it, although we've heard of several people coming home with a pair of skis and poles for 6-700 kr.
